Today, I want to share my experience at the NU Image MedSpa in Paramus, NJ. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about accepting this partnership, because I did Botox in Seattle, and I didn’t care for it all. My first time was in Brazil, and I loved the results. After that bad experience in Seattle, I decided that I would only do get my “touch up’s” in Brazil.
I am so happy Nu Image MedSpa changed my mind. I had a great experience, and I love the results. I met with Dr. Raquel Mahidashti in which she heard all my concerns, and answered all my questions. She applied a new botox called “Jeuveau”. According to the studies it will last from 4 to 6 months, which is a little longer than my previous botox procedures. I am very expressive and I don’t know if it will last that long, but only time will tell.
The botox will take up to 3 to 5 days to kick in. However, it can take up to a full 14 days after a treatment to notice the results. That’s why it is important to have another appointment after two weeks, the aesthetic practitioner needs to check if everything is all right!
Nowadays, Botox is a sensitive topic to be discussed. I know I may sound ridiculous but I caught myself hiding my expression lines. I know I should accept my expression lines as a gift, and a reminder of everything I have been through. Maybe one day, I will accept that aging is a gift, and it’s okay to have expression lines. But now, I want to feel good about myself. I think there is no right or wrong with Botox treatment. We need to respect the choice of every women, and I will support any woman who feels this way.
To end this post, I will share some important tips for those who want to do Botox treatment:
- Use an experienced certified medical aesthetic practitioner.
- Read the reviews of the clinique.
- Make sure the returning appointment is included.
- Don’t exercise in the first 24 hours after the procedure.
- Respect the timeframe between another Botox treatment. Don’t overdo it.
- Reflect what is the best for you because botox is magical, and you may get addicted lol.
